    2 July 2024 One of my favorite literary scenes is from Jane Austen’s Persuasion. A group of young friends is vacationing in Lyme Regis. In the early morning they walk along The Cobb, an inviting and dangerous looking wall along the shore. They greet each other and nod to a handsome, significant acquaintance. Later in the day in this very same spot the lovely but foolish Louisa Musgrove will say “Catch me” and tragedy will ensue. But at this moment, life is full and happy.     1 July 2024 It was time to leave Glossop. United Airlines had offered the kids an earlier flight back to NJ and they jumped on the opportunity. That meant an earlier departure from Glossop and a far-too-hasty good bye to the fam. But Mike and I will be back within a few months for sure. Crammed into the car again and made it to Heathrow just in time for Emi, Ben and David to check in and take off. They are all home safe. I loved traveling with the five of us together.
