    Chicago: winding around The Windy City

    15 June 2025 It was a beautiful day to explore this city. From 8am to 10 pm we walked, talked, ate, sailed and thoroughly enjoyed Chicago. We rose early in order to grab a table at Meli’s for breakfast. A local young man had told us it was much better and far less expensive than the self-proclaimed “best breakfast in the country” diner next door to our building. Well, he was wrong.     14 June 2025 Firstly, we would like to give a shout out to our friends and family who participated in the No Kings demonstrations today. We do wish we could have rallied with you. It is important to peacefully show that “this is what democracy looks like”. Well done! Secondly, our compassion and sympathy goes out to the people of Minnesota. Assassination is always horrible and never an answer. No one should have to live with that fear and anguish. Thirdly our day was actually quite lovely.
