Kiwis and Fairy Bread

On Dec. 27th, 1989, Mike and I met at party at my sister Carol’s house in Forked River New Jersey. We talked and read poetry aloud late into the night. It was wonderful.

Today, 34 years later, here we are on the other side of the world, in the Southern Alps of New Zealand where we walked more than 10 miles, talked with new friends, and watched the stars late into the night. It is wonderful.

We are in a place where reality and fantasy meet.

So in honor of the occasion, we are posting a number of photos of the two of us in this land of Middle Earth. And we ask YOU, our dear readers….
